The American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), through its Start
Here. Go Places. CPA student recruitment program, has launched its
latest offering for high school students. Money Means Business (www.MoneyMeansBusiness.com)
is a self-paced workshop designed to give students a taste of
real-life corporate decision-making, and an insight into the
financial aspects of the business world. The 10-level online
workshop takes students through the creation of a product to its
launch in the marketplace, helping them make financial decisions
along the way to support its success. Students choose a company, and
work their way through different positions from VP Product
Development, VP Marketing, VP Sales, VP Finance, CFO to CEO. All
students who complete the workshop will receive a certificate from
the AICPA.
A Teacher Kit, was
created by the AICPA to help teachers introduce the complex and
exciting world of business to their students.
